Yellow Hat, whose name derives from the yellow hats that Japanese schoolchildren wear when walking to school, is engaged in traffic safety initiatives in its position as a company involved in the automobile society. As such, it conducts traffic safety campaigns to coincide with the Japanese government’s Spring and Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaigns.
On February 22, which is “Cat Day” in Japan, Yellow Hat conducts a cat-themed nationwide traffic safety event that aims to encourage the realization of a “car society in which even cats, which are particularly prone to accidents from cars, can live in safety.”
Yellow Hat conducts the Traffic Safety Campaigns for cats which is named “Traffic Nyan Zen (Safety) Campaign”

In collaboration with the jeans select store "Right on," we are conducting the "Light On" campaign again this year to raise awareness among drivers to "turn on headlights early" to eliminate near-misses.
We conducted a "Stop Pedestrian Crossing" campaign to eliminate near-misses with the aim of increasing the number of drivers who can stop temporarily when pedestrians are in crosswalks without traffic lights.
As part of the "Prevention of accidents at dusk and at night," we conducted a "Light-on" campaign to eliminate near-misses by raising awareness of the importance of turning on headlights early.
We conducted a campaign to eliminate near-misses in collaboration with the "Crocodile that will die in 100 days". We called for phrases that remind us of road safety on social networking sites.
We conducted the "One Word on near-miss!" campaign. We called for comments on social networking services for "near-miss" situations while driving.

We aired "an in-depth discussion with cats" about cat traffic safety in which the cats answered questions from humans. We also presented a paper on protecting cats from traffic accidents on digital signs.
We installed "Cat Jumping Out Signs" on the roadside and held a "Traffic Nyan Zen (Safety) Presentation".
We created "Traffic Nyan Zen (Safety) Quiz," a quiz in which cats can participate, and "Traffic Nyan Zen (Safety) Program" commercials for cats to watch.

We have created a picture book to raise awareness of "Traffic Safety," which is also the origin of Yellow Hat's company name, in an easy-to-understand way for children who visit our stores. The book is available at customer rest areas in Yellow Hat stores nationwide. The book is also available for sale in our stores.
